G5 Entertainment have announced their sequel to Supermarket Mania will be released on the 12th May for both the iPhone and the iPad. Supermarket Mania 2 follows on from the plot of the first, but moves the action to Hollywood, where you’ll be opening new stores in a variety of busy locations.The game will be free to download, however an in-app purchase will be require to unlock all the levels, presumably to avoid a separate Lite version and to take advantage of this particularly popular way of currently selling apps. It’s going to cost $4.99 for the iPhone and $6.99 for the iPad, but for this you’ll get a total of 80 levels.Supermarket Mania 2 has been given a complete overhaul with new graphics and sound, new game mechanics and products to sell; plus 11 new customers and a massive 200 upgrades to earn.
You can see the trailer and a couple of screenshots below and as we’ve come to expect from G5, the game is looking very polished indeed, especially the design and movement of the characters. If you enjoyed the first – or Supermarket Management, which we reviewed a while back – this one will be worth a download when the time comes.
